Why do I write?
As you can imagine, I get asked this a lot, and the simplest answer I can give is because I love to travel. I love experiencing new places, meeting new people, thinking about new problems and solutions. Reading lets me do this without ever having to buy a plane ticket! Writing lets me create places and people I've never seen before.
Some of my stories have ordinary characters doing extraordinary things. Others have extraordinary characters doing the unthinkable. But all of my stories will introduce you to people and places you've never seen.
My focus is literary mainstream (realistic stories with contemporary settings) for young adults. But within these pages, you'll find titles for all ages, from read-aloud picture books to novels.

So, why do you read? Is it to meet exotic people and places, too?

Children's Picture Books
and Early Readers I love writing picture books. Some of mine are funny, some irreverant, while others are serious. Some are lyrical, whereas some find music in their meaning. Check out my titles for young kids here. |
